A blog called listen, dammit enjoyed the Hungry Villagers track “Tree Full of Ghosts.”
There’s a bit of a gospel feel in the Hungry Villagers’ folk-rock sound, too, in Abraham’s resonant vocals and the way his brothers blend their voices in harmony. The band’s single, “Tree Full of Ghosts,” has a propulsive backbeat framing strummed acoustic guitar, atmospheric electric guitar and chugging bass. Powerful stuff.
